Schönbrunn Palace

Every year, millions of people around the world watch the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra concert that is performed at the park of Schönbrunn Palace. More than 100,000 attend the concert in Vienna and 70 TV stations from all five continents broadcast the concert. It’s a truly unique open-air concert that takes place every year in the Baroque ambience of Schönbrunn Palace park. There is probably no better setting than the magnificent Schönbrunn Palace as the backdrop and its Baroque park, which is a UNESCO world heritage site.

The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is quite rightly regarded as one of the top cultural exports of Austria. The orchestra offers all visitors to the city of Vienna as well as all locals an unforgettable experience of live music, in keeping with a long-standing tradition This event has been highly successful since 2004. Last year alone, approximately 100,000 visitors came to enjoy this one-of-a-kind event at the park of Schönbrunn Palace.

Another unique aspect of this concert is that it is broadcast on TV to more than 70 countries. Redline Enterprise was once again entrusted with planning and implementing the sound system. Overall, we used 140 line source elements by L-Acoustics K1, KUDO, KARA, and KIVA. For the live mix, we used an AVID S6L on 128 input channels.
